My name is Toma Makjanic and I was born October 15th 1985 in Split, Croatia. I became fascinated with all kinds of animals at a very young age. My biggest fears however, were snakes and sharks!
My first contact with a snake came at the age of 17 at a local pet shop. This was the first time I tried to handle a snake. After that day, snakes went from being my biggest fear to my biggest interest, and it didn't take very long before I owned one myself. After several years of studying and breeding snakes, my collection had grown to almost 10 different snake species. I realized that in order to keep this up, I had to choose one specific species.
I got my first Chondro when I was 20. I found this species of snake to be the most interesting, so I decided to sell all of my other snakes in order to successfully expand my collection of this beautiful species. Since then, I have only been caring for Chondros, and they have become my true passion.
Many of you would ask me: now why Chondros? I have a very simple answer; because there is no such snake in the world that can compete with a Chondro in anything.
Chondros grow to a medium size, have an amazing temperament, come in a variety of colors that makes many of them look like they come from another world, and most of all, they are always coiled on tree or branch and allow you to enjoy in their fantastic appearance!
At the age of 22 I had my first clutch of Chondros, and I was extremely excited when I saw little heads poking out of the eggs! I got 9 healthy babies from the clutch.
Today I am finishing my study in veterinary medicine, and my main focus is reptiles. I hope that one day I will be able to work solely on them!
As of right now, I am focusing on building a nice collection of "high-end designer" chondros. "High-end designer" chondros are really amazing and I find them much more fascinating then the "locality types". It is only a matter of time until I hatch some blue, mite phase, or high yellow ones!
I am young and ambitious, and I have plenty of time dedicated to achieve these goals! I encourage many of you... Don't hesitate if you are interested. Acquire one of these amazing serpents, and bring a beautiful fresh breeze of tropical forest into your life
